Place Fredericksburg – Mary Washington
The conference rate at the hotel is $99
plus taxes. The reservation must be made by 05/16/2015
by calling 540-654-3333 or booking on-line with reservation
number G-EXCH. All reservations must be accompanied by a
first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit
card. If a guest does not cancel a reservation within 72
hours before 3:00PM of the guest’s check-in date, then Hotel
may charge the credit card one night’s room fee plus any
applicable taxes. Hotel’s check-in time is 3:00 PM and its
check-out time is 12:00 PM.
Hyatt Place Fredericksburg is located in Eagle Village,
a mostly retail facility across route 1 from the campus of
UMW. There is plenty of parking at the hotel.
Next to the hotel, you will find sit-down restaurants
including Country Cookin’ and Home Team Grill, as well as
Blackstone Coffee, Quiznos, and Salad Creations.
Information
and Technology Convergence Center
We will host the
conference in Mary Washington’s newest campus facility, the
Information and Technology Convergence Center (#18 on the
campus map). The
ITCC houses a number of academic centers and support
services, including the Speaking Center, Writing Center,
Center for Teaching Innovation and Excellence, Department of
Teaching and Learning Technologies, and the new Digital
Knowledge Center. The ITCC also has a high tech digital
auditorium where all conference activities will take place.
There is plenty of space for break-out collaborations, and
outdoor seating surrounds the building. Being within walking
distance to the hotel makes this an ideal location for our
meeting.
